Background:

Repercussions of a tough economic landscape have swept past the private equity realm. While on one hand private equity players are enjoying lower valuations, they have to deal with the rigours of raising new funds in difficult times. Further, they are also burdened with the task of bailing out their investee companies from tough situations and consequently, protect their investments. Are private equity players equipped enough to efficiently sail through these testing times? As LPs default on their commitments, is a secondaries market in the making? Is the downturn the onset of ‘spring time' for Special Situations Funds? Experience and knowledge are the key to success, particularly in a rough weather. IVCJ's role begins here.

Pursuant to IVCJ's successful conferences and workshops on private equity, Dickenson desires to establish a more meaningful and timely event to aid private equity players in passing through tough economic times. The conference is aimed at covering topics such as Domestic and International Fund Raising, LP Defaults, Retail Fund Raising, Special Opportunity Funds, Debt Restructuring, PIPE Deals, Devising Best Investment and Exit Strategies, Role of Mezzanine Funds, State of Buyout Funds and Hedge Funds.
